New York/ QNA/ 11/10/2021 HE President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly Abdulla Shahid appointed HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Ambassador Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani and HE Permanent Representative of Denmark Ambassador Bille Hermann to lead the facilitation of informal negotiations on the reform of the UN Security Council in accordance with General Assembly resolutions calling for reform of the Council in terms of equitable representation, increase in the number of its members and other matters. ​

New York – Information Office - November 10 The State of Qatar has called for constantly working to protect and promote human rights for all and uphold the rule of law, at the national, regional and international levels, and affirmed its constant condemnation of policies and procedures that increase exclusion, marginalization and deprivation at various levels. Qatar explained that avoiding conflicts and putting an end to them after their outbreak and ensuring the sustainability of peace after conflicts requires, above all, addressing the root factors that constitute a fertile environment for the outbreak and exacerbation of tensions, considering that exclusion, marginalization, discrimination and inequality are the causes of the outbreak of tensions.
