New York, November 11 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has renewed its firm commitment to work with the United Nations, especially its mission, to provide assistance to Afghanistan, explaining that its constructive engagement in Afghanistan is clear and specific, and is represented in the implementation of the goals and references of its foreign policy that is based on the preventive diplomacy approach based on mediation, and the resolution of regional and international disputes through dialogue and negotiation, and helping the Afghan people to achieve freedom, peace and development, in addition to strengthening regional and international security and stability.
This came in the statement of the State of Qatar, delivered by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, before the United Nations General Assembly, which held a briefing session on the "situation in Afghanistan".
