The State of Qatar has reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration with all partners at every level in support of the implementation of the Doha Programme of Action and the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

The State of Qatar has affirmed its commitment to international mechanisms and measures aimed at disarmament, particularly regarding nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, in a bid to promote peace and security at both regional and international levels.

The State of Qatar affirmed its commitment to strengthening its international partnerships within the framework of international cooperation and multilateral action, and to support the efforts of developing countries in implementing and achieving the 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals. This is achieved by directing partnerships with UN agencies to provide development and humanitarian assistance to countries facing development challenges and disasters beyond their capabilities, in addition to partnerships with the UN to implement the outcomes of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries (2022-2031).

The State of Qatar has reaffirmed its strong commitment to combating terrorism and violent extremism, expressing readiness to continue close cooperation with the United Nations and international and regional partners in a way that contributes to promoting international peace and security and fostering a safer and more stable global environment.

The State of Qatar affirmed that respecting, promoting, and protecting human rights constitutes a fundamental pillar of its policy, and that human development and the protection and promotion of human rights are among its priorities.

Her Excellency Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, met with His Excellency Mr. Dauda Jallow, Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Republic of Gambia, at the Permanent Mission's headquarters in New York.

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi at the Permanent Mission's headquarters in New York.

The State of Qatar expressed its regret over the UN Security Council's failure to adopt a draft resolution aimed at ending the catastrophic humanitarian suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, and calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire by all parties, as well as the immediate release of all hostages, detainees, and Palestinian prisoners.

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani participated today in the opening session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly held at the organization’s headquarters in New York.

The State of Qatar delivered on Wednesday a message to HE the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres and to HE Sangjin Kim, the Charge d'Affaires at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for September, regarding the cowardly Israeli attack that targeted residential buildings housing several members of the Hamas Political Bureau in the capital, Doha.
