HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE Assistant Director General for External and Corporate Relations at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Laura Thompson, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission in New York.

During the meeting, the cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the ILO were reviewed.

HE Assistant Director General praised the efforts of the State of Qatar in supporting social development issues at the international level, and stressed the importance of the Second World Summit for Social Development, scheduled to be held in Doha this year, in enhancing global dialogue on comprehensive social policies and pushing international efforts towards achieving more just and sustainable development.
