The State of Qatar affirmed its continued efforts with international partners to consolidate security and stability in the region, as well as to continue supporting the brotherly Palestinian people until they obtain all their legitimate rights, foremost among them their right to self-determination, ending the occupation, halting the settlement activities, and establishing their fully sovereign and viable independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution principle.

The State of Qatar affirmed the necessity of seizing the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations to renew the collective commitment of Member States to the rule of international law, which constitutes the cornerstone of international peace and security and a fundamental pillar of multilateralism when addressing protracted conflicts and various violations of the United Nations Charter and international law.


Qatar Stresses Comprehensive UN Reform as Key to Global Peace Leadership

The State of Qatar affirmed that effective global leadership for peace requires comprehensive reform of the United Nations system, fully consistent with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, stressing that mediation remains an indispensable pillar for the peaceful resolution of disputes and the prevention of conflict escalation.



Qatar Pledges $1 Million to Support UN Central Emergency Response Fund for 2026

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani participated in the High-level Pledging Event on the Central Emergency Response Fund 2026, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, in the presence of HE UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher.
