Qatar Reiterates Support for Palestinians' Full Rights, Sovereignty Over Their Territories

New York – Information Office - October 19 The State of Qatar reiterated the importance of the Palestinian people enjoying their full rights and sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, as well as the enjoyment by the Arab population of the occupied Syrian Golan of their rights over natural resources. This came in the State of Qatar's statement delivered by Third Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, before the UN's Second Committee (Economic and Financial) during its 76th session, on the item on the permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources.



Qatar Reiterates Importance of International Cooperation for Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, Weapons of Mass Destruction

New York – Information Office - October 14 The State of Qatar renewed the importance of international cooperation for elimination of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction and non-proliferation, pointing to the State's efforts to continue developing its national legislation related to weapons of mass destruction to comply with its obligations under the conventions the country has acceded to and ratified. The State of Qatar expressed its support for all activities that promote the implementation and understanding of those treaties and agreements. This came in the State of Qatar's statement delivered by the Second Secretary at the Permanent Delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Ahmed bin Saif Al Kuwari before the First Committee of the UN General Assembly at its 76th session on items related to nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
