Qatar, Denmark Hold Session at UN to Launch Compact for Young People in Humanitarian Action Report

The State of Qatar and Denmark, in conjunction with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Office on Youth, organized a special session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to launch the report of the Compact for Young People in Humanitarian Action under the title "Igniting Hope" which documents some innovative programming that puts the rights and needs of young people in front and centre stage and provides testimony on the ongoing transformation within member organizations of the Compact for Young People in Humanitarian Action.





Qatar Deposits Instruments of Accession to International Covenant

HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani on Monday deposited with the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs Qatar's instrument of accession to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and Qatar's instrument of accession to the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.


Qatar Committed to Partnership with International Community to Maintain Peace and Security

The State of Qatar has reiterated its commitment to fulfilling the international obligations dictated by its partnership with the international community to achieve the goals and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, stressing that maintaining international peace and security is a shared responsibility and requires States to make the utmost efforts to find just solutions to common challenges.


Qatar Calls for Immediate Lifting of Unjust blockade Imposed on It

The State of Qatar has called for an immediate lifting of the unjust blockade , which is about to enter its second year, reiterating that the unjust siege and arbitrary unilateral measures imposed on the State of Qatar without any justification or legal or realistic justification, aimed at achieving special objectives that run counter to the provisions of international law and are incompatible with the fundamental principles of the multilateral international order and the basis of friendly relations and human rights, as well as their negative impacts on regional and international cooperation for maintaining international peace and security.
