New York, November 27 (QNA) - The United Nations General Assembly Third Committee adopted, by consensus, the resolution of the "20th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family and Beyond' to implement the objectives of the International Year of the Family, which Qatar facilitated negotiations about it on behalf of the Group of 77 and China in the United Nations. The Group of 77 expressed special appreciation to the State of Qatar's mission to the United Nations, which over the past years has facilitated consultations on the resolution. Qatar began to introduce the resolution since 2004, after having hosted the Doha International Conference for the Family in that year.

New York, November 19 (QNA) - The Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, at its 74th session, in a resolution adopted by 180 votes out of 193, expressed appreciation for the role of the United Nations Human Rights Training and Documentation Center for South-West Asia and the Arab Region, based in Doha, in capacity building activities in the field of human rights.
