Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations meets UNICEF Executive Director

New York / Information Office / February 22 HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with Executive Director of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Catherine Russell. During the meeting, cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the UNICEF were reviewed. HE Sheikha Alya Al-Thani reiterated the State of Qatar's continued support for the work and programs of the Fund in the Arab region and other regions of the world.


UN Hails Qatar's Support for Launching Global Network on Protection of Vulnerable Targets against Terrorist Attacks

New York / Information Office / February 16 The United Nations praised the State of Qatar and its support for the launch of the United Nations Global Network of Experts on the Protection of Vulnerable Targets against Terrorist Attacks. The launch of the network comes within the framework of the UN Global Programme on Countering Terrorist Threats against Vulnerable Targets. This came at the high-level virtual meeting held by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) to launch the Global Network of Experts on the Protection of Vulnerable Targets against Terrorist Attacks, with the participation of nearly 200 senior officials, experts and stakeholders from Member States, international and regional organizations, the private sector, civil society, and academia.


Permanent Representatives of Qatar and Denmark Begin Facilitating Negotiations on UN Security Council Reform

Qatar Renews Commitment to Strengthening Constructive Partnership with UNOCT

Qatar Stresses Importance of Women's Participation in Making, Preserving, Building, Sustaining Peace

Qatar's Embassies, Consulates Continue National Day Celebrations
