Qatar's Permanent Representative to UN Participates in Global Futures Forum

New York, March 22 (QNA) - In the context of their role as facilitators of government consultations to draft the political declaration of the Sustainable Development Goals Summit, HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani participated along with HE Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations Fergal Mythen in a discussion on the role of civil society in the Sustainable Development Goals Summit and Summit of the Future. This took place during the Global Futures Forum organized by the Alliance for the United Nations We Need, with the participation of a number of officials and personalities from civil society.



Qatar Leads Unofficial Consultations to Formulate Political Declaration for Adoption at SDG Summit

New York, March 19 (QNA) - HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, along with HE Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations Fergal Mythen, as co-facilitators, led the unofficial consultations on formulating the political declaration that will be adopted during the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit, set to be held in September 2023.
