New York, April 25 (QNA) - The State of Qatar reiterated that the continuation of the unjust blockade imposed almost two years ago, under vague and exposed pretexts to the international community, constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, human rights, and the United Nations (UN) Charter and undermines international cooperation and the international multilateral system.
Qatar warned of weakening the multilateral system, which would spread the policy of bullying in international relations, and replace the rule of law with the law of jungle, with the risks and consequences of a terrible price for all.
This came in a statement of HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, at the High-level Meeting of the UN General Assembly on the occasion of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.
Her Excellency said that the continuing and growing challenges of the international community were a growing concern for all, as crises and breaches of international law threatened peace and stability in the world, stressing that the only option for achieving peace and development and protecting human dignity is based on diplomacy and multilateralism.
