New York / Information Office/ September 07 The State of Qatar reiterated its support for all efforts made to promote a culture of peace and expressed its commitment to the effective implementation of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace and resolutions related to this subject. This came in the statement of the State of Qatar made by HE State of Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani at the High-Level Forum on the Culture of Peace convened by HE President of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly Abdullah Shahid under the theme, "The Culture of Peace: Importance of Justice, Equality, and Inclusion for Advancing Peacebuilding."

New York – Information Office - August 04 The State of Qatar has emphasized the importance of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as an effective tool for collective security through the practical steps taken for the essential, fair, and balanced implementation of NPT's three core pillars, calling for joint action towards achieving the entire goals of the treaty. This came during the statement of the State of Qatar delivered by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani in the Tenth Review Conference of the Parties to the NPT being held in UN Headquarters in New York from Aug. 1 to 26, 2022.
