Qatar : Imposing Fait Accompli on Occupied Syrian Arab Golan Would Undermine Efforts to Achieve Comprehensive Peace in Middle East

The State of Qatar has stressed that any attempt to impose a fait accompli on the occupied Syrian Arab Golan is not in contradiction only with international law and UN Security Council resolution 497 (1981) and of the annual General Assembly resolutions , but it is null and void and has no legal effect and would undermine efforts to achieve a comprehensive peace in the Middle East.




Qatar Calls for Differentiating Between Terrorism and Resistance

The State of Qatar stressed Friday on the importance of differentiating between terrorism and resistance. Qatar also called on respecting international law and human rights in combating terrorism, and stressed on the importance of respecting all religions and promoting the values of forgiveness.






Qatar Supports All Efforts Aimed at Addressing Conditions Conducive To Extremism

New York/ Information Office/ 15 February 2016/ The State of Qatar has reiterated its support to all regional and international efforts aimed at addressing conditions conducive to extremism, and to continue working within the framework of the international community to find solutions to conflicts and promote human rights, the rule of law and the fight against corruption and impunity, as well as to support the right of peoples to self-determination on the basis of international law.


Qatar Demands Security Council to Stop Israel's Illegal Practices

New York/Information Office /27 January 2016/ The State of Qatar has demanded the UN Security Council to compel Israel to respect the provisions of the International Law and the International Humanitarian Law, and to reject all practices and illegal actions carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities, stressing the need to take measures to stop such practices and provide international protection for the Palestinian people. Qatar emphasized that it has spared no effort in achieving peace and stability in the region.
