HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Great Lakes Region Huang Xia, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

During the meeting, the Special Envoy expressed his appreciation for the active role played by the State of Qatar in supporting UN initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Great Lakes region.

For her part, Her Excellency reiterated the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting UN efforts aimed at achieving peace and promoting sustainable development in the region.
